But when [John the Baptist] saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said unto them, "Ye offspring of vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?" (Matthew 3:7)

Nothing good can or will come from this.

Greed destroys everything. It will be hard to enjoy all that wealth in a completely broken post-apocalyptic husk of a society.

Then went out unto [John the Baptist] Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region  round about the Jordan; and they were baptized of him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins (Matthew 3:5-6).

For [John the Baptist] is he that was spoken of through Isaiah the prophet, saying,
"The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make ye ready the way of the Lord, Make his paths straight" (Matthew 3:3).

The Letter of #Jeremiah can be found in the Septuagint, and as Baruch 6 in the Latin Vulgate and many English translations of the Apocrypha.

What is it about? What should we make of it?

#Jesus, having prophesied the doom of #Jerusalem and its #Temple, turned to speak of when such things would take place.

Why do so many invest so much effort into trying to figure out what is known to God alone?

Maybe we shouldn't have to say it, but unfortunately we do.

Christians should stand against any and all forms of sexualization of children.

Let your beauty not be external – the braiding of hair and wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes – but the inner person of the heart, the lasting beauty of a gentle and tranquil spirit, which is precious in God's sight (1 Peter 3:3-4).
