Let’s take a moment to remember that the founders of Google were once supported by NSF. Google invented the Transformer, the backbone of the AI Vance touts.

The next major breakthrough could be forming in the head of a student of a professor about to get their NSF grant pulled.

The acting Social Security commissioner has left the agency after a clash over providing DOGE access to sensitive data

It follows our reporting that DOGE is seeking access to personal financial data at the IRS for every taxpayer, business and nonprofit.

in what meaningful way can we say that the constitution is in effect when an unelected and unaccountable billionaire is wielding state power to unilaterally cancel congressional appropriations?
Hearing that DOGE went into the Dept of Education today and shut down almost the entirety of the department's in-house research arm, Institute of Educational Sciences, cancelling contracts totally about $900m.

What happened to USAID foments a constitutional crisis the likes of which most Americans haven't seen in their lifetimes.

You can't just eliminate it. When/if courts say so, will Trump/Musk defer? Courts don't have armies.

ProPublica’s reporting provides new details about what legal risk officials were prepared to take and what laws they may have violated on their way to creating a “constitutional crisis.”
