truth, i did this and got cursed out due to what i perceived as insecurity, although i had been put in the same position and thrived.

Dating/Marriage advice: you MUST leave your partner exposed with your people. Make a safe exit and watch how they engage from a distance, and follow up with your people and ask about them. If your person can't hang, throw them away.
