I’ll be teaching my “Keep it Simple, but Pack a Punch” class at Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival on Thursday, Feb. 27. The fabrics you choose combined with a simple design can result in a very compelling quilt. Often, “less is more”. www.quiltfest.com/register/mid...

All done! “Spring is in the Air” - 20” x 20”. This was inspired by a photo Rod took on an early morning bike ride along the Schuylkill River last spring. I know it’s only January but we’re dreaming of warmer weather…

🎶 Can walls have rhythm?

When you think of "rhythm," music might come to mind—but did you know it also applies to art and how you arrange it in your space?

In design, rhythm means the repetition of visual elements to create a sense of consistency, guiding your eye through your art and home.

Bold and Bronze - 35” x 44”
I was inspired by this gorgeous hand dyed fabric from @elementalhu.bsky.social I pulled lots of silk from my stash which played well with these colors, added some screen printed skeleton leaves and couched some yarn for definition. What a joy this was to create!

“Fantasy Forest” - 8” x 10”. I just picked up some of my pieces from a gallery which is closing. They are newly listed on my website. This one was a little study I did at a workshop with Sue Benner on Madeline Island this past summer.

"Winter Reflection" 15" x 30"

This hand dyed sky/water silk fabric was gifted to me by my friend.

I am often inspired, simply by looking at a particular piece of hand dyed fabric.

This piece captures a moment where nature's colors converge, inviting a pause to reflect on the beauty around us.
