I just finished a relisten of the audiobook, (the newer more recent recordings) it's so good.

I watched the new episode last night, it was very good. Fortunately having only seen the first series once there was a handy recap of series one at the beginning for me.

I've not eaten a mince pie yet this season. I also only drink a little alcohol at Christmas. Today I've bought my first packet of said pies. My selection process was buying the ones with three different kinds of alcohol in them. If they're rubbish I'll probably not remember.π΅βπ«π

It was a polite and friendly exchange but I did enjoy watching a man trying to persuade a traffic warden not to give him a ticket, and I quote, "because it's Christmas". Sadly I couldn't stay long enough to see if this worked but I admire his trying it anyway. π

I love Cockatiels, they are so smart and funny and make the best pets if you ever tame one and make friends with it. They're a bit dusty though and hiss at you if annoyed or frightened.π

I bought an advent calendar today. Yes, yes I am too old for such things but who doesn't like opening a cardboard window every day during December and getting rewarded with a small piece of chocolate. ππ

I had to replace a nearly new car tyre the same day my house insurance needed to be paid. I don't want to go all sheriff of Nottingham but I may have to cancel Christmas to pay for it all.π¬π
