The UK now has more citizen science raspberryshake seismic stations than professional ones. Some detect surprisingly good signals from 8000km away, even with sub-optimal sites tgey see big events. R94C3 is in my garden office (aka the shed) and detected P waves from todays California earthquake ⚒️

Attending conferences as an exhibitor can get a bit draining, especially when they put the exhibition stands in a windowless basement. however sometimes you get to spend a week by the sea in Corfu, so not all bad. thank you to the European Seismological Commission local organising committee
