Public healthcare is not going to survive without public oversight.

There's no reason for it. Just that the public that benefits from it isn't allowed to see what goes on under the hood. We're prevented from looking out for our own interests by people who insist they're entitled to do it for us.

For #BCAM, know the "rule of 40s": start mammography at age 40 for 40% reduction in risk of death due to #breastcancer and easier treatments. For the 40% of women with #densebreasts, 40% of cancers are missed on mammography and adding MRI helps; US if MRI not possible. @densebreastinfo.bsky.social

Alarming! We need action in 🇨🇦 to ensure breast cancer can be found early. That starts with revision of national guidelines which dangerously recommend screening starting at 50. We need reform of the @cantaskforce.bsky.social panel which has no subject matter experts. news.un.org/en/story/202...
