Public healthcare is not going to survive without public oversight.
There's no reason for it. Just that the public that benefits from it isn't allowed to see what goes on under the hood. We're prevented from looking out for our own interests by people who insist they're entitled to do it for us.

For #BCAM, know the "rule of 40s": start mammography at age 40 for 40% reduction in risk of death due to #breastcancer and easier treatments. For the 40% of women with #densebreasts, 40% of cancers are missed on mammography and adding MRI helps; US if MRI not possible. @densebreastinfo.bsky.social

Thank you Dr Wilkinson, I appreciate this so much. It’s almost every day that I talk to women in my dm’s about accessing screening and I can’t wait for it to move from a whisper network to good and fair guidelines for all Canadians.
