I think Zelinsky is more clever than you give him credit for. It would be unwise to underestimate him. He is not setting up Ukraine for failure he is setting up Trump to to be confronted with his own idiocy in trusting Putin to do anything towards peace. Zelensky is playing the long game.

Ukraine sacrificed the Crimean Peninsula to buy peace. Putin invaded again, demands MORE. Even if he gets all of Ukraine, he won’t stop there, just like Hitler didn’t stop at his “breathing room” but invaded more and more countries until Germany occupied France while STILL fighting on other fronts
