I'm a Danish mixed media artist, who's passionate about designing and making ornamental plushies. I sew mostly by hand and love bringing my finished crafts outside for photos that make them come to life.

I can't recall ever having struggled so much getting good photos. The sun was low, casting long shadows. The antlers kept getting lost in the backdrop. If I found an open spot, there was either too much shadow, or an icy wind, that made the antlers topple over and chilled my fingers. 🪡🧵🥶🐮❄️

Taking wintery outdoor pictures of Annabelle turned out to be far more challenging than anticipated. Those antlers really blend in with the background. As a result I ended up taking way too many pictures. Here are some of my favotites.🥰 🪡🧵🐮

Annabelle is all finished, and just in the nick of time. We finally got snow last night. Wintery pictures coming next! 🪡🧵🐮❄️

The fabric for Annabelle's muzzle arrived just in time for Christmas. I've been working on and off on the head throughout the Holidays. I didn't like the original hair (too short), so Annabelle used this year's wish to make it grow longer. 🥰🎄🐮

I really didn't think that I'd have the time nor energy to decorate a christmas tree for our home this year. In fact we were going to skip it, but then we couldn't resist buying one. I'm glad we did, and the plushies are too! 🎄🪡🧵🧶❤️

I'm at the point, where Annabelle's body is now finished. I'm still waiting for the muzzle fabric to arrive. The head is built up around the muzzle, so I'll have to put Annabelle on pause until said fabric has arrived. I'm crossing my fingers that it arrives before the end of the year. 🪡🧵🧶🎄

Annabelle's cloven hooves are fully sewn and awaiting stuffing. The fake treebranch I ordered, to use for the horns, arrived today and it's looking great! 🪡🧵🧶🎄

After working on horse plushies for most of this years, working on a calf again feels like a welcome change. Suddenly working on cloven hooves feels like a cake walk. 🪡🧵🧶

Judging by all the comments yesterday, Annabelle's Wish seems to be a cherished childhood memory for many. 🥰🎄

I've finished the assembly of the markings. I do not currently have the minky for the muzzle, so I'll focus on the body, while waiting for it to arrive. 🪡🧵🧶

I've started work on a commission for a lifelike looking version of Annabelle from the Christmas classic Annabelle's wish. I'm still waiting for some supplies to arrive, before I have all materials that I'll need. In the meantime I can work on the body. 🪡🧵🧶🐮🎄

Finished the round cat plushies last night and managed to get good daylight pictures earlier today, to showcase them from various angles. My favorite one is the black eyed kitten. Which one is yours? 🪡🧵🧶🐱

Today has been all about making whiskers for the plush kittens. I use pieces of fishing line and burn one end to create an "anchor". The process is a pretty fun variation to sewing, but I need to be careful not to burn my fingers. Melted plastic will stick to the skin like glue and burn deep. 🪡🧵🧶🐱

The paws are my least favorite part to sew and attach. I keep trying to pinpoint the attachment points and make them part of the pattern. But try as I might, the positions keep changing and one size never seems to fit all. Luckily I'm past this dreaded stage. The rest should be smooth sailing... 🪡🧵🧶

Thanks for your input regarding the eyes. Most voted for cat eyes, with a few preferring black. I gave the striped kitties cat eyes and the last one got black eyes. I'm not sold on the eyes with the grey kitty. Should I swap them for black? 🪡🧵🧶🤔

Halfway through the threadsculpting of the toes for the round kitties. 🪡🧵🧶😋

Working on the round kitties again, while pondering if I should give them black eyes, or proper cat eyes. What do you guys think? 🪡🧵🧶🤔

I'm glad I decided to brave the cold once more to get photos of the whole herd. I shipped Toby the day after and almost regretted it. We got our first snow that day but it melted instantly. The following days have been getting increasingly wet. Turns out I picked the perfect moment in the end. 🥰🪡🧵🧶

I love how these indoor group pictures turned out. They look so happy together! 🥰
I did take a bunch of outdoor pictures as well. Sadly most of them feel too busy and kind of flat, but I like these two of Toby among the leaves. 🪡🧵🧶🐎

More pictures of Toby the handmade Tobiano plushie. This time in his sitting pose, showcasing his spots and movable ears. 🥰🪡🧵🧶
November 25, 2025 at 12:42 PM
The remake of Toby the Tobiano is officially done! 🥳 I braved the cold and took a ton of pictures yesterday, so that he could embark on his journey to his waiting owner without further delay. There are too many pictures to fit in a single post, so I'll post my favorites over the next few days. 🪡🧵🧶🐎

I'm always looking forward to the moment, when all the sewing is done, and the plushie is just waiting to be stuffed. I add a little stuffing to the head to give it its proper shape, then it is ready for its floppy photo session. 🪡🧵🧶❤️

Getting so close to the completion now! 🪡🧵🧶❤️

Finally arrived at the head assembly! 🪡🧵🧶🐎

I really like the dualcolored tail in this one. 🪡🧵🧶🐎

I love the detail of the hoof bottoms. Getting them to stay inside the cardboard "hoof molds" is a bit tricky though. I think that making the molds thicker, so that there is a taller edge might help. I'll have to try that next time... 🪡🧵🧶🐎
