A friend of mine is catching up on One Piece after starting about a year ago, and honestly for someone who hasn't in a while but needs to do a reread it is wild hearing them bring up certain plot elements and just thinking to myself "Oda, you sly dog" knowing how far along that will come up again.

Been playing Pokemon Emerald Seaglass a bit the past few days and there really is just something hard to describe about the chord it strikes. Modernized mechanics, an art style that is nostalgic even though I grew up with the stuff after Gen 2, and some of its own tweaks as well. Just hits different

Riding out the Pokemon "drought" rn is honestly easier than I think some people treat it as. TCG Pocket, replaying old games, trying out fan games, or just playing other stuff that isn't Pokemon makes the dead air of no news really easy to ignore and I encourage doing so if it is getting to you.
