I sometimes post random stuff that interests me
It's sort of creepy how a book published in 1985 about television is even more relevant today especially when you apply it's prescriptions to social media.

Do recommend people to become familiar with Neil Postman's work in general

For reasons too complex to explain here, I wrote an Apple II program designed for Early Modern Age Catholics to determine if they're allowed to have sex with their wife, or if it'd be a sin.

Here's the video of it running.

It's not a real metaverse unless it's:
* open source
* cross platform
* an open platform
* designed to be portable
otherwise it's just a sparkling Quake map

I would have a joke about Sisyphus, but it just keeps going on and on and on and on and on and on...
I have a joke about Midus, but the ending is Au-ful.
I have a joke about Theseus, but it needs a bit of work.

You know, of Heinlein's works, I've always found it telling that it was Starship Troopers to get so many adaptations, but never Stranger in a Strange Land.

We had full-featured software, not web apps begging for subscriptions. We installed games once, not on a lease from a server. If your PC broke, you fixed it.

Now it's DRM-ridden software and everything’s a service. Progress? More like digital serfdom.

Over 100 years ago, this photograph of two painters on a hazy Dordogne riverbank was created by the Autochrome process ~ it produced dream-like, light-filled colour images without artificial colourising, & was the main colour process until the 1930s (Gervais-Courtellemont)
