Lmao, and some people thought the blue-eyed figure was Paul or Leto II

Yeah, Dorotea is still a Butlerian fanatic.

It seems all the Corrinos are terrible Emperors. At this point, having Salvador Corrino and his descendants as Emperors doesn’t seem like it would have changed much. They’re still puppets of everyone...

Eh, more or less. The Sisterhood weren’t the only ones who contributed to making Javicco’s father, Roderick Corrino, Emperor. Josef Venport and the Navigators also played their part, though separately, not as a unified conspiracy...

It's like the younger versions of Tula and Valya are more interesting...

Booo, so in the show that confrontation between Valya and Tula vs. Vorian and Willem on the planet Corrin never happened. Also, the way Valya finds out about Tula's pregnancy is different... well, whatever.

Another difference between the show and the Schools trilogy: In Mentats of Dune, no one witnesses Dorotea's murder, as it takes place in the same room where Anirul dies, with only Valya, Dorotea, and Anirul present. Least of all Tula, since at that time she was busy killing Orry lmfao #DuneProphecy

At least in the episode, they mentioned that the Corrinos are descended from the Butlers. Although it would’ve been nice if they also said they descend from the Harkonnens, but that would be a bit too complicated to explain and understand, and honestly, it doesn’t really matter.

It’s only been a few hundred years since they left Earth as a radioactive wasteland during the Butlerian Jihad, and they’re already referring to it as Old Earth. Interesting.

Welp, okay, so Desmond is probably Tula and Orry’s son. Whatever... bruh, boring.

Watching the fifth episode of #DuneProphecy. Let’s see if it’s true that Leto II has something to do with everything that’s happening...

if we take it literally (which was not Frank Herbert's intention),it could be. But the original text says Paul is referring to how the Bene Gesserit cannot look into the male side of Other Memory without becoming possessed. It’s not literally about eyes staring out of the darkness lmao
#DuneProphecy
"Try looking into that place where you dare not look! You’ll find me there, staring out at you!"

Is this the Dune quote people use to claim that the blue eyes looking out of the dark is Paul? Seriously?

The Shining is essential if you want to understand how it works in Stephen King's universe. In other books like The Stand, The Dead Zone, and The Dark Tower, there are characters who have it, though not as strongly — just enough to sense danger or have visions.

Apparently, in The Shining, Danny refers to his ability to shine as "Tony," which is something like his subconscious. But in Doctor Sleep, they suggest that Tony was actually future Danny or something like that...
I still think Doctor Sleep is a somewhat unnecessary sequel to The Shining, but at least it's a good read.
