I’m getting a dog on Tuesday!! I’m so excited oh my gosh, I’ve never had a dog before, much less a shared pet with a partner. Does anyone have any first time dog owner tips? He’s a little over 1 year old and he’s a black American Labrador. So excited to bring the sweet boy home. #dogsofbluesky #dogs

There are so many spooky movies I want ti watch in spirit of Halloween but I’m genuinely such a scaredy cat I really can’t bring myself to. I’m deciding between Nosferatu, Weapons, and Sinners. :,)

I have an internal medicine consult for my sweet Nilly girl tomorrow and oh boy. I hate having anticipatory grief, man. She’s 17 years old so I know she’s up there in age, but I always cry so hard before bringing her in. Hoping for a good visit. :,)

So let’s be clear. I can be deemed a domestic threat because I have “anti-american, anti-religious” ideologies and am critical of religious institutions, but the pastor who plead guilty to sexually molesting a young girl gets 6 months of jail time? Yeah, burn it to the ground.

I miss reading casually and I don’t think that makes me any less of an academic to say that. I honestly crave the feeling of staying up until 2am because I am so invested in characters and story lines. I love reading philosophy, but it’s hard and it’s work. I miss turning my brain off sometimes.

I am banning myself from ever drinking a Celsius again. I can handle caffeine, I was a barista for 5 years. I drank a Celsius before work and am literally trembling. I have such bad anxiety and I’m having heart palpitations, if a dog barks somewhere in the hospital I am jumping at my desk!! 😭

Listen, I am a firm believer that we must pay attention to things happening politically and that falling into a dogmatic slumber does not help anyone, but also if I don’t take wellness breaks from watching the news I will crash out. There is so much evil in the world right now.

My new job shorted me almost have my paycheck! Now I have to go into work acting like the bad guy and being all pissed because there’s no way you can micromanage your team to an outrageous extent while also being this incompetent. 😀

I try to keep my silly and humble philosophical opinions to myself because I’m not particularly skilled in any one philosopher’s writings and therefore understand that I probably have a very weak and surface-level understanding of what someone is trying to say.
