very exciting new set of data from @membramics-lab.bsky.social on vimentin in autophagosome biogenesis regulation: bravo @frengerquentin.bsky.social !
My first postdoc preprint is out!
Upon starvation, the Vimentin IFs network rapidly compacts (in <15 min!) to "cage" ER-Endosome membrane contact sites. This spatial confinement is crucial for autophagosome biogenesis.
