In my professional capacity I see people in the ceramic field wanting to work in isolation, at home, and without others, sometimes because they have the privilege to do so and sometimes because for them the fear of working together is greater than the fear of what happens when we don't.

David Lynch was right about the safety of a diner in the neon lights and shared experience away from the dark. It isn't that the dark doesn't exist...it's quite the opposite. It is visibility in the invisible not unlike being trans or being queer.
