Kleine kanttekening. De foto komt uit 1923. Troelstra spreekt in de foto een demonstratie tegen de vlootwet van minister Colijn toe. Colijn wilde de Nederlandse vloot bij financieren terwijl daarvoor flink bezuinigd was. Uiteindelijk haalt de wet het dankzij de demonstraties met 1 stem verschil niet
