Just some simple doodles of three characters from the first chapter, that being The Original Starwalker (left), Seam (middle), and Lancer (right) A small doodle of Tasque Manager from chapter 2 seemingly singing as auditioning for the trio of Sweet Cap’n Cakes off screen. A doodle of Miss Mizzle and Jackenstein from chapter 4, with Mizzle seeming curious about Jackenstein who’s just waving at her. The many “secret” bosses with some exclusions and an odd one out. From left to right: Gerson, Ramb, Spamton, Cat Mike, Cowboy Mike, Small Mike, Jevil. Ramb was only included as I am a believer that he was supposed to be a boss.

It was night. Like all things that lurked in the dark, the night drew them out to roam. They wandered aimlessly through the halls with a vague inclination toward an objective. They opened doors and entered rooms, finding nothing, they exited back into the hall. It was a slow night. Their sack was reasonably light. There was no need to haul it over their shoulder. There wasn’t so much as a spare rib that weighed the sack to drag on the wooden floorboards. The boards creaked, but only slightly. The hinges of doors were far more rickety. They entered another room. Here they found the remains of something that had ventured out during the day. They didn’t know what it was. It wore drapes similar to leather. But the corpse was in a state of great decay, and it seemed whatever was the cause of death, had caused the skin to weld to the garment. It certainly didn’t deter them from starting their work. They dropped their sack on the floor and pulled out a wooden box that they used to store their equipment. The blood was still moist which made their job easier, but the bones would still put up a fight as they were freed from their flesh tendons. ***** He frowned. This bone was in poor shape. It was deficient and starting to crack. He discarded it. The connecting bones were also in similar disrepair. He tossed these bones as well. He could only salvage half of the skeleton. The skull had been completely caved in. The inferior bones were worthless. They were for the hounds.

The Isle of Herox is a distinct area of land, cut off from the rest of the world. Despite classifying as an isle, and therefore accessible by land, you will find there are no roads that lead there, and for good reason. Following a lead, det. Carter is determined to set sail to said Isle. Despite the captain's best efforts, Carter is stubborn and refuses to listen to his advice. The Isle is best left alone. Under the cover of night, the captain ferries Carter to the easternmost part of the isle where a castle stands in ruin. Before leaving he tells Carter this, "I cannot dock my ship and wait for you to return. I have to leave. I will return in 7 days. If you are not here when the sun sets, for me to intercept you, I will never return and you will die here. Have I made myself clear?" Carter nods and watches the captain leave into the foggy night. He turns to face a castle he must tread through to enter the Isle. Unclear of where to start.

It was much too dark to see the base of the ladder from this height. But he could sense a rhythmic pulse radiating from the void below. Carter peered over the edge of the battlements. Staring dead center where he felt the vibration was coming from. It was a mechanical sort of breathing. A set of pistons pumping fluid, a system of gears and chains rolling into one another, there was a distinct whirring of something heated or the purring of some kind of motor. He starred into the darkness for what felt like an eternity. His eyes began to strain and that’s when he saw it ****** It’s surface was metallic yet permeable. Lipid drained from the dents and dripped down it’s exterior. It pooled at its feet and it remained uncaring of the atrocity. Blood dried from it’s previous massacres, stained its hands and upper arms. There were splatters elsewhere, but these were less prominent compared to how decorated its limbs were. Even the streaks on its face were minor in comparison. All he could do was stare in horror as the being continued to pummel the mangled corpse of the rider into a paste. The sound of bone splintering like stale bread. And flesh, pounded like rotted fruit. The squelching that emanated from each thrust of a metal fist, did only to further the churning in his stomach. He wasn’t sure how much more he could stand to witness this utter over-kill.

Metal Sonic to the left, primarily based on the modern version but mostly unchanged compared to the original. Dr. Eggman in the middle, more based on the modern with some cues taken from his classic incarnation with the addition of mechanical legs. Sage on the right, with a fairly different design in comparison to her original version. I think of her as less a young girl and more of a teen in age.
