Here's my latest Zelda theory, a twist on the old Triforce Wish Timeline but moving the point of divergence to the beginning of OoT instead of the end. This neatly eliminates the awkward circumstances of the Downfall Timeline and has few issues with Ganondorf's lore worse than what TotK already did.

Billie Jean
Michael Jackson

On this day in 1983, one of my favorite Michael Jackson songs was released. Its beat clearly inspired the Koopa theme in Super Mario 64.

I'm looking for a new keyboard to replace the Roland Go that I currently have. I really like it, but it's a bit big and unwieldy to carry out to record music videos on-location. Features I'm looking for include
- 49 keys
- less than 8 lbs
- internal soundfont and a built-in speaker
Anyone got ideas?

El Metro
Billo's Caracas Boys

On this day in 1983, the first metro in Venezuela opened. Now that is a fun fact!

I'm nearly done with planning the dumbest MBTA Commuter Rail speedrun anybody will ever do: the 1976 edition. Current estimate is about 28 hours long, requiring an all-nighter in a McDonald's in Stoughton before walking two hours in the freezing cold to Sharon. Anyone crazy enough to join me for it?

In the modern day, the three most serious crimes you can be convicted of are stealing mail, counterfeit money, and pointing lasers at planes. Clearly, not even murder is as serious as those, since people can get away with murder all the time.

There is only one useful thing AI can do, and that is making spreadsheet formulas. Imagine a small language model trained only on the documentation for Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel. You tell it what you want the complicated formula to do, and it makes it. Any other feature is unnecessary bloat.

Let me show you the most disappointing shirt I ever bought, this Sahara shirt from Hermitcraft Season 6, circa 2019. We got the gray shirt but didn't realize it would be the exact same color as the text on it. Such an epic design fail I hardly ever wore it.

Problems never come by themselves, which is why good solutions should try to solve two problems at once. For example, everybody knows that "too many homeless people" is a big problem nobody's fixed yet, but if you pair that with "not enough bus drivers" their shared solution becomes plainly obvious.

Does anybody like this building in Providence, or would it be OK to demolish it in my high-speed-rail crayon? They annoyingly put it right in the way of moving the rail line back to the original Union Station location, making it harder to reuse the abandoned rail tunnel for my Providence Light Metro

Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.

I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.

GOOD NEWS! Researchers have shown Alzheimer’s disease can be REVERSED- not just prevented. Using a potent neuroprotective compound called P7C3-A20, they found RESTORING balance to a central cellular energy molecule (NAD+) not only PREVENTED disease features but REVERSED them, EVEN at late stages.

Has anybody other than me ever done the New Brunswick Shuffle (Suburban Transit 100 to NJT NEC to SEPTA TRE), the West Trenton Shuffle (SEPTA WTR to NJT 608 to NJT NEC), the Marble Hill Shuffle (MTA 1 to Hudson Line), or the New Rochelle Shuffle (change between Metro North and Amtrak at NRO) before?

On my big trip last week, I rode 461.53 miles of transit, not counting the GoBuses from Alewife to New York or the Amtrak from New Rochelle to Boston. I think my favorite train I rode was the Hudson Line express train at sunset, and my favorite restaurant I ate at was the pizza shop in Far Rockaway.

Today I gave GAMwolferz a tour of New York for his 30th birthday, and I showed him cool things like the JFK Airtrain, the TWA Hotel, LIRR Rockaway and Atlantic Branches, the G train and a R46 N train on Second Av Subway. We had lunch at Central Pizza in Far Rockaway, and it was delicious and crispy!

You knew the New Haven Shuffle? Well, the New Rochelle Shuffle is the new shuffle to do!

I think the best experience I've had on my entire trip has probably been eating the traditional Christmas dinner (Chinese takeout) on the Hudson Line express train at sunset. It's simply unmatched! The only thing that would've made it better is if I'd had three or four of my closest friends with me.
