Everything basically happens because of Betony's initial desire to get revenge on Lilian and Osprey, but he quickly gets lost in his own game...
and imo, Lilian has way bigger things to worry about than revenge after that. (🦐)

Neutral Pantser but a version that definitely knows the ending and is working in foreshadowing the whole time. It's funny because for a long time I was like "wait I'm definitely a plotter though right?" and every writing friend I know has been like "you're the most pantser out of anyone I know"

“Our.” The word came out rough like sand in his raspy growl. Ansel loomed closer, his nails digging into the skin of Calder’s wrists, the musty scent of too many cigarettes on his breath. “You ruined everything.”
