Today is Collecting Our Christmas Tree Day…. and decorating it it a special time of the year. But I also love nature’s own artistry and how she ‘dresses’ her own branches.

Winter has arrived - the sheep are unimpressed!

These tiny leaves have somehow held on - despite the raging winds, the stone-cold weight of snow, the bathtubs of water coming at them as sideways-flying raindrops, and the earth’s downwards dragging gravitational forces. And they are so beautiful. Stoic and defiant.

One tree near here seems to have failed to spot it is almost winter.
