Seeking to follow Jesus.
Finding it harder every day to be an evangelical.
Never tire of 30s and 40s films.
How do you argue against a third term for a divinely appointed man who must be given the chance to complete his God-given mandate to redeem this nation?

This administration is counting on a lot of Americans, especially evangelical Christians, who can’t and won’t.

When inhumanity and bigotry seem to reign, it’s encouraging to see churches doing what they have been called to do: loving God & loving people. There IS light in the darkness.

Thanks, Emily Belz!

I have to give it to Trump. He said he’d bring the country together and he did. Today hundreds of thousands of Americans came together at more than 1000 rallies held throughout the country, protesting this current administration.

Promise made. Promise kept.

Proud of US.

Despite all his lies, Trump told the truth about one thing when he said, “We’re gonna win so much, you may even get tired of winning. And you’ll say, ‘Please, please. It’s too much winning. We can’t take it anymore, Mr. President, it’s too much.’”

He was right, I’m tired of winning.

The US was the only “no” vote on the UN Resolution calling for an International Day of Hope. Because, according to the US delegate, it “contains references to diversity.” The resolution literally calls for “respect for diversity.”

What is wrong with us?

I used to be enamored with politicians who openly used Christian faith language in interviews and speeches.

I’m now far more enamored when politicians openly treat others with Christian kindness.

A good portion of Christendom today seems to serve their political beliefs. It seems the political system has become so important to us that we act and speak in ungodly ways to protect what we have labeled godly.

Our politics are not our Christ.

Every foster parent and many adoptive parents have been recipients of Medicaid for their children. With an estimated 369,000 (2022) children in foster care and numerous Medicaid eligible adoptees we’re talking about a half million children in this “Parasite Class.”

They aren’t coming just for the criminals.

And they never were.
This is first reported ICE raid at a church. It came five days after the Trump admin. revoked a policy that, for 13 years, had ordered ICE officers to avoid making arrests at houses of worship and other “sensitive locations.”

A sitting US Congressman tweets that a Bishop should “be added to the deportation list” for religious speech spoken in a house of worship. We need serious people to govern, not ones who foolishly joke/tweet about 1st amendment rights. The party in power is off to an ignoble start.

In 2008 Edwards, a married man, presidential and vice presidential candidate fathered a child with a coworker. His political career soon ended.

In 2017, Hegseth, also a married man, fathered a child with a coworker. His political career took off.
