This collage is getting a slight touch up. Masked areas are sections that I will strip the varnish from and re-work.

I’m struggling with a title for this #abstract #collage. What, if anything, does it suggest to you?

First in a small series of minis, buffered magazine clippings on mat board, 4” x 4” (10 x 10 cm).

Artists don’t retire. Making art isn’t just something we DO; it’s part of what we ARE.

Seas of Europa, 5”x7” ( 12.5 x 18.5 cm), buffered magazine clippings on cradled mat board.

Available ($180)

Staving off the physical chill on this winter day is easier than staving off the sense of doom occasioned by current events. #woodfire #logfire #burning #flames

Troubled Times. This is my 5th collage on this theme.
Measuring just 5”x5”, it is the smallest. The largest was 10”x14”, but I’m currently working on one that will be 20”x24” when it’s finished.

Off to the start of a new year! I’m the only person in the park on this bitter cold day. This is the rarely-seen back side of my studio.

One more reason why I continue to produce new works along the lines of “Troubled Times”.

I love having my students draw pineapples. Their first reaction is usually, "You expect me to do that?!" But after I help them break it down and apply the techniques they've learned, they get a real sense of accomplishment in the end. #FoodOnFriday #pineapple #charcoal #artteacher

Working on a pair of new cityscapes that aren’t ready to show yet. Here’s one from a more optimistic time several years ago.

Happiness is a place between too much and too little.

I think of this proverb every time I create art depicting food.

Highlights from the Bucks County Community College exhibition, Art That Blooms, a joint project of the #art and #floraldesign departments. These were examples of floral designs created in response to paintings.

Autumn has come to my studio at the barn. The trees declined to peak at the sane time this year but opted instead for an extended season. First it was mostly green with just a little color; now mostly red and gold but with some patches already growing bare.

A favorite #collage from a few years ago, the one I use on my business cards. This was made entirely from magazine clippings pasted on canvas board. No paint. No other type of paper. Just very careful color selection.
