Oh this is interesting
Tool for local journalists! @climatetrace.org monitors 300 satellites and 30,000 sensors to identify “exactly where greenhouse gas emissions are coming from.” They've begun issuing monthly reports, enabling journalists to track nearby emissions sources and ask officials about the pollution.
Climate TRACE
Climate TRACE makes climate action faster and easier by mobilizing the global tech community to track greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

Thoughtful piece on sexism in hospitality in the London Evening Standard www.standard.co.uk/going-out/re...
Sexism in hospitality: The industry has spoken, but what's next?
An open letter from 70 female chefs attacking sexism in the industry was big news — two weeks ago. What’s happening next? asks Kara Buffrey

I’ve just listened to @phoebesmith.bsky.social on @bbcradio4.bsky.social. It reminded me of how exquisitely her book Wayfarer, wraps up both pain and pleasure. I loved it and definitely recommend it as one to read.👇

Great news for operators wanting to offer more rail. This new service between Paris and Berlin can be booked up to 12 months in advance
trains are such a great example of how the future is here, if we want it and are willing to subsidize it
It’s over 1,000km from Berlin to Paris

There’s now a direct daytime train between them, that takes 8 hours and costs just €59. Leave at 10am, arrive 6pm.

And… it’s just 1% the carbon emissions of the equivalent flight

I volunteer for this brilliant social enterprise. If you know of any companies who need help developing policies, training or coaching to help those with cancer in the workplace do have a look.
1 in 2 of us will receive a cancer diagnosis in our lifetime but there are still big gaps in workplace support according to our recent survey of HR and Line managers.

Learn more about the findings and why training is so crucial.👇

A tourist tax is the modest courtesy when should be ready for when visiting others says Liz Edwards in the UK Sunday Times www.thetimes.com/travel/advic... #responsibletourism
Tourist taxes are nothing new — and should be welcomed
Wales may introduce a levy on visitors – but even a week’s worth costs less than the bottle of wine you’d take to dinner at friends. Time for us all to be good guests, says our writer

Thank you @chapplejc.bsky.social for sharing our founder Harold Goodwin’s thoughts ICRT.global
'Devastating floods, extreme temperatures, anti-tourism protests – we've been talking about these things for 20 years. But we’ve reached a point where we all need to do something about it now, because it will only get worse. And the UK travel industry has a unique opportunity to make a difference'
'Doing nothing "because consumers don't demand it" is not good enough'
