Making this timeline chart has taken way longer than it should have. I can't seem to find an easy way to take a list of dates and plot them on a chart (that isn't some stupid AI implementation). This a google sheet chart that I have to convert dates into days since 1-1-1900 and then change back.

Konami at the turn of the millennium had a real fixation for games with "mania" in the title. From what I can tell it started with beatmania and went through drummania, keyboardmania, and punchmania before culminating in gunmania, a BB gun shooting gallery.
