The #wwdc keynote was nice, but wow, all the dev stuff they are doing is wonderful! I can see us being able to develop apps for iOS on other platforms getting closer, and expanding the swift build system is a boon #wwdc25

The foreign policy of a nation often reflects its leader. Our foreign policy is now churlish, acquisitive, brutish, impulsive, reckless, callous, boorish, expansionist, shallow, ignorant, exploitive, nasty, dishonest, manipulative, corrupt and unethical. A reflection of our president.

History: “Eventually the incompetent fascists invariably lose power and then society recovers in a new and stronger way”

Me: “Oh, cool, so what has to happen for the spell to be broken??”

History: “mmmm…well, that part is less encouraging.”

Something I've not mustered up the courage to talk about because my position in life is obviously quite good is that the core tenet of being a Midwesterner, and one which I continue to ascribe to and has never served me wrong, is simple:

Interrogate your wants so hard you reject a solid majority.

Most smartphone users use bluetooth headphones. They won't be able to enjoy this better quality unless they have speakers or non bluetooth equipment. And Apple doesn't charge extra for lossless. Spotify be dumb

The democratic party is a party of weak willed idiots who keep waiting for the right "pitch" to swing at for the American people. While the dems cry about Trump, people are suffering. They are the ones who were supposed to do something about this. We are on our own
If a Dem president was at a car race the day after a major national disaster had 3 states underwater with fatalities, most of the posts on X tonight would be trashing that president. But whether bad or good, Dems politicians don’t seem to like to play that game. But it is effective.

Musk is growing more and more unhinged as time ticks forward. What is this?

Still no alt text... Guys, Ron, how am I supposed to join in with your discussion when you won't describe the images for those who cannot see them? I have asked countless times to add alt text to you and @meidastouch.com

I’m sure it was insightful, but I had to pass on dipping in to this one.

I love to see our fellow americans using the system to fight against oligarchy, hate and other things I don't have the space to list. I hope what remains of our government is still enough to fight back successfully
One of the most hopeful things I’ve seen all day is from the Meidas Network’s daily update: “Sen. Lisa Murkowski and many others say they have been beseiged by angry constituents: “The Senate phone system has been receiving around 1,600 calls each minute, compared to the 40 calls per minute. . .”

- Markets nosedive.
- Trump caves.

The "deals":
- Mexico agrees to do the same things they always do at the border to help the U.S. (including under Biden) 1/
