#BackToSchool this week! 📚✏️📆

I posted this a couple of years ago on World Book Day and realise I missed out #ToKillAMockingbird which I was one of my set texts for #GCSE (to long ago to think about 😩😂)

What books did you study and fall in love with?
September 4, 2025 at 10:02 AM
My initial book contained chapters on #AmandaKnox and #JeremyBamber (since developed into books in their own right) but also the #MendendezBrothers, #LizzieBorden, #DarlieRoutier and #JonBenetRamsey

All are controversial cases in their own way.  Any thoughts or opinions?

The @edfringe.bsky.social is over for another year, I hope everyone had a blast! This time 3 years ago we'd just finished our last performance of In Her Defence 🥲

Why not find out more about my characters Catherine and Philip and even check out the script? 👇📖

One of the things I loved most about writing In Her Defence was (very loosely) hiding several #AgathaChristie references within the dialogue 🕵️‍♀️🔎📖

Can you work out what they refer to? 🗝️💭

What do you think happened?

None of us can really know for sure, but that doesn’t stop us from having opinions. I’ve got mine too, of course, but I was happy to see this reviewer felt my book came across as neutral ⚖️

The absolute bliss of being allowed to sit quietly for hours and just read on holiday... two very different books but still finished each of them in pretty much one sitting 🤩

Does anyone else pay particular attention as to when they reach page 100, 200, 300 etc. of the book they are reading and, more importantly, do a quick check to see if anything of note happened on that page? Or just me?!

Throwback to last year chatting to Jim on @kennetradio.bsky.social about art, writing, music and of course my #amandaknox book 📻 📘🎨🎼

I was in talks w/ Fox Nation last week to share my expertise about the #AmandaKnox case in a new documentary they are making.  Unfortunately we couldn't get the logistics to work (they are in New York, I'm not!) and despite trying to hook me up with a film crew in London it's not happening for now 🧵

Did you know I also write fictional murder mysteries and plays?  ✍️🕵️‍♀️🎭

I'm particularly pleased that this reviewer picked up on this 🙏

💔 “Meredith is not forgotten.”
While centered on Amanda Knox, this powerful read honors the victim, Meredith Kercher, and keeps her memory central.

🧠 “A book that makes you think and question the initial verdicts.”
Thoroughly researched and compelling, it doesn’t give easy answers — just the facts and the questions that remain.
📖 Perfect for true crime fans.

Balanced, respectful, and thought-provoking — this book dives deep into the Amanda Knox case while never forgetting Meredith Kercher.
