Be kind. That's all.
"Stop calling us Gestapo, people! That hurts our feelings! We're obviously Brownshirts! Get your Nazi iconography right, please!"
Bovino: "When politicians, community leaders, & some journalists engage in that heated rhetoric we keep talking about, when they make the choice to vilify law enforcement calling law enforcement 'Gestapo' or using the term 'kidnapping,' that is a choice & there are actions & consequences."

The board voted yesterday to rename the place. It takes time to order, make, hire contractors and install those custom letters.

So, this decision was obviously made weeks ago and each and every board member, up to and including Trump, should be questioned under oath on this blatantly illegal act.

I pay $798/m for insurance. I get ~$200 in tax credits, so the "real" cost is about $1000/m.

On the VT marketplace for 2026: $3200/m, no tax credits. 400% increase for identical coverage.

If I wasn't going on Medicare in January I'd be screwed.

What has become of our humanity?

In our small town of Bennington, VT, there were a ton of folks at the #NoKings rally. We lined up along North St for about 1/2 mile.

Counter to what Republicans have been saying this week, we love this country, and we want it to be safe, prosperous, & welcoming for everyone.

I follow in a long line of anti-fascists. My father fought the fascists in World War II. My grandfather fought the fascists in the shtetl. There is a tradition of being anti-fascist that runs deep in my family.

I am proud to be Antifa. Come and get me.

It turns out creating a situation where 25% of global petroleum liquids might go offline at any minute has an impact on oil prices, who would have guessed.

I lived in LA for 9 years.

Getting people to get on the freeway for *anything* (let alone a peaceful protest downtown) is in itself a good indication of the magnificent spirit of these Angelenos.

Bravo @schumer.senate.gov - THIS is the sternly worded letter that'll stop Trump's fascism!

Everyone around him is incompetent and obviously scared to give him any news that is bad.
Reporter: There was a car bomb in Moscow this morning that killed a Russian general. Do you have any reaction to that?

Trump: Who killed what?

Reporter: A Russian general killed by a car bomb.

Trump: Well, you're just telling me that for the first time. Where did this take place?

There was a restaurant in the Palais Royale. It was Cocteau-themed because the woman who owned it apparently was his lover.

We had a fantastic meal, ending with the most delicious dessert I've ever had: coupe damnation - a delectable, decadent confection of chestnut cream and chocolate.

Sigh.
There was this little restaurant near the Vatican. The wall between the kitchen and dining room was glass so you could see the chefs.

I had the cacio e pepe and a glass of an Italian white.

It was the best thing I’ve ever eaten and I have no idea what the name of the restaurant was.
I don't want to hear about your lost loves, tell me about the restaurant food that haunts you because you'll never be able to taste it again

No, I don't. Not really.
