A little prep goes a long way in cold weather. 🥶 Extreme temps can disrupt water service, so having an emergency supply at home helps. Store at least 1 gallon per person per day, plus water for pets. Aim for 3 days or more.

🌨️Snow turned to sleet and freezing temps can burst pipes. Know where your shut off valve is before trouble hits. It’s usually in your basement or in a concrete box near the street.

🧊 Protect your pipes from the cold.

Freezing temps can cause pipes to burst, esp. in basements, attics, and crawl spaces.

❄ Let faucets drip
❄ Open cabinet doors
❄ Insulate exposed pipes
❄ If you’re away, keep thermostat at 55°F or higher
