Ultraseven is weird. He often fights in human size to thwart alien invaders. Something I expect in a Sentai or Kamen Rider show but not in an Ultra series. Also, Dan Moroboshi is not a host but is Ultraseven in disguise!!

Two out of the four Avengers: Doomsday teasers have been officially released online. So that means we’ll get the official X-Men teaser online same time next week!

I finally realized why AEW called this Mixed Nuts Mayhem. It’s a mixed tag match and the participants are kinda nuts. Well, one side at least.

Didn’t like Mercedes when she first set foot in AEW but she really has started growing on me after Blood & Guts. She took another pin and will now have a match versus Willow but I don’t think she’ll lose the TBS title just yet. I’m here for her crashout & eventual rise to AEW Women’s World Champion.

Just now watching AEW Worlds End and Fletcher is looking for a weapon hidden in the turnbuckles without success. A callback to when Skye Blue legit lost weapons hidden there during Blood & Guts? What a nice touch connecting this spot to Okada’s match as well.

Now that it’s split can we admit that the AEW Unified Championship wasn’t a good idea. Initial reporting said that AEW would book it as a second World title but nothing really came out of that. It just made things convuluted.

Did I miss something? Dan just suddenly tranformed into Ultraseven?! How and why is he an Ultra? Will this remain a mystery for the entire show? On to episode two, I guess.

Finished Ultra Q and Ultraman, and now watching the first episode of Ultraseven. They introduced a new defense team called TDF with no mention of what happened to SSSP. Looks like a military force compared to a police unit in Ultraman.

Watching these celebration movies (which are basically clip shows) back-to-back with the 1966 Ultraman isn’t recommended. Ultraman Kaiju Legend, a 1h 21m movie, feels like the epitome of the “this could’ve been an email” meme. This could’ve been a 22min joint like the previous movie!!

I watched the 1996 alternate ending to the 1966 Ultraman which is basically a reframed clip show. This one ended on a happier note with Ultraman reviving and defeating a bunch of kaijus including Zetton. Still, this ain’t canon and the original Ultraman ending remains a total bummer.

What kind of ending is this?! Ultraman gets beaten and Zetton is defeated by a single experimental SSSP bullet?! Ultraman is rescued/restored by Zoffy and they go back to their home planet?!

I love that fact that just last month AEW gave us violent and brutal matches via Blood & Guts and then this month delivered pure/technical matches via the Continental Classic. I hope that they keep these two events close to one another again next year.

I can’t believe that Mox got into the semis of AEW’s Continental Classic. Isn’t he supposed to be on a losing streak? Also, Okada vs. Takeshita on the semis instead of the finals?! Prediction: Okada over Take so they can do an NJPW rematch. Final winner: Fletcher!!

Catching up on AEW Dynamite and I noticed the different lighting for the Hammerstein Ballroom. I dig it. It looks so much more epic than the usual lighting they use for the venue. I hope they use similar lighting going forward.

I think MJF is winning the AEW Men’s World title at Worlds End because Bandido won the Dynamite Diamond Ring and the title shot is for MAXimum Carnage. Haha. Also, they’d have the same problem (no compelling challenger) if one of the faces win.

Seems like NJPW has lifted the ban on Andrade. I remember a couple of years ago when he was banned and not allowed to work the same shows as NJPW talent because of his association with AAA.

We watched IT: Welcome to Derry and it was good! Learned that the following seasons will be set during an earlier cycle than season one. What a concept! Only complaint is the noticeable aging of the kids between episodes especially Matty.

Rewatched Death Note. Is it just me or did the show become boring after L died? The plot became convoluted and aimless that I lost interest and was glad it ended even though the ending sucked.

Decided to start watching The X-Files, Millennium and The Lone Gunmen as well as Ultra Q and Ultraman. Switching between shows in case I get bored.

So based on toy leaks, Gavan Infinity is really a Super Sentai and Metal Hero mash-up. The silver one is supposedly called Samurai and the gold one is called Hikari. There is also supposedly a black Gavan called Death. So Bandai saved by subtracting 2 rangers from the toyline!!

Netflix already owns Millarworld (makers of Kick-Ass, Kingsman, Jupiter’s Legacy, etc). Now they will also own DC Comics as well as the Wildstorm and Vertigo (not sure if they own any IP) imprints.

I saw this news saying that there are only 4 episodes left until One Piece becomes a seasonal anime. You mean we’ve only been watching season one this whole goddamn time?
