Thank you to everyone who joined us for our 2025 programs! It's not controversial to say that this year brought some setbacks for the environment & for DC. That said, we have seen in you, our beautiful community, so much passion & resolve to continue the work that needs to be done. Onward to 2026!

We were very sad to learn about the passing of Dr. Iain Douglas Hamilton - legendary conservationist, Save the Elephants Founder, and subject of 2025 Festival Selection A LIFE AMONG ELEPHANTS.

His incredible story resonated so strongly with our audience. He leaves behind a truly monumental legacy.

Did you know that for the past 25 years international film critics at Cannes have given out a Palm Dog Award (get it, like Palm d'Or!)? This year's winner was Panda, an Icelandic sheepdog one of the stars of Hlynur Pálmason THE LOVE THAT REMAINS (and the director's real life pet).
