@lisaguerrero.bsky.social for the Cardinals. He did a good job there but got let go and he’s doing awesome with the Padres. His story is so insane. Everytime I see him on TV it’s so surreal especially when the Padres have to wear their City Connect Jerseys with the pink belts

@lisaguerrero.bsky.social this guy scrapped for everything. 30 years ago he was working at the fresh market making Boars Head sub sandwiches for people. He parlayed his success with us into a scouting job with the Cardinals. He went from scouting to coaching at every level before become head coach

@lisaguerrero.bsky.social he is a baseball gym rat of a coach and is the only MLB coach to never play pro baseball. Instead of playing pro ball he was turning many of us into D1 players and we even had one make it to the majors (Daniel Bard who was the closer for the Rockies until last year)

@lisaguerrero.bsky.social and start getting more serious about making Varsity as an underclassman and eventually playing college ball. He told us to come to hitting and fielding workouts that he was doing with some of his old college players who were now playing minor league ball.

@lisaguerrero.bsky.social he was trying to cobble together kids to do hitting lessons at Charlotte Country Day. My friends and I were 13 at the time and ready to take the big leap from very good players who played in the AAU national championships (back before Perfect Game existed)
