Back to real hydrogeology in the Caucasus⛲. Alongside the usual drilling hazards, there are A LOT of snakes (saw 3 on Tuesday, all venomous🐍), A LOT of minefields💣, mid 30s temperatures🥵, and the ghosts of a variety of peoples who inhabited this area prior to recent decades☠️.

"Baseline Assessment of Drought Impact Monitoring" by Integrated Drought Management Programme. It was really interesting to work on and presents a range of worldwide initiatives, often with a non-drought focus, that provide valuable drought impact data. See: shorturl.at/HZcK6

In least-developed countries & low to middle-income countries, drought is still the single greatest cause of agricultural production loss.
