Welcome to our community!

We are nature — all people and all species. We are interconnected, and what we do to the planet and to each other, we do to ourselves.

Let’s foster respectful, honest dialogue and make this space welcoming for all.
Strengthened federal methane rules are finally out.🚨

But the government risks undermining this progress by supporting expanded fossil fuel projects.❌

Gitanyow Hereditary Chiefs put banks and pension funds on notice that they should not invest in the risky Ksi Lisims LNG (aka, fossil fuels) terminal. Why? Because the project does not have Indigenous consent and the underlying economics are shaky. Read more: www.gitanyowchiefs.com/news/letter-...

We'll leave this here...

Today the Carney government delivered a devastating blow to climate and nature by agreeing to a new Alberta–B.C. bitumen pipeline while scrapping environmental protections.

Today is a historic setback for climate action in Canada. DSF vehemently opposes this proposed pipeline and calls on @mark-carney.bsky.social to do better. Stand firm on environmental standards and advance Canada’s clean energy transition. Not Danielle Smith's fossil fuel fantasy.

If Canada wants to fulfill its role in the fight against climate change, it must stop supporting new fossil fuel projects while partnering with petro-states.

Let's stop backtracking. Canada must show some climate ambition. #COP30

“Don’t Look Forward” would be a better title for B.C's new economic strategy, "Look West".
The strategy is supposed to chart B.C's future, but instead it clings to the past by expanding liquefied natural gas development (aka, fossil fuels 😡). Read more: www.biv.com/news/comment...

Ironically, PM Carney skipped COP30 in Brazil, to announce that the federal government will fast-track the American-owned Ksi Lisims liquefied natural gas project in British Columbia. 👎😒

Canada's 2025 budget:

✅ invests in housing and infrastructure and promises to strengthen some climate regulations

😡 creates new LNG subsidies and doubles down on oil-and-gas handouts

🤡 completely ghosts nature funding.

Not the clear vision an "investment budget" demands.

This is unjust and unacceptable.
