Very clear outline of how and why the PEPFAR cuts will have devastating consequences in SA where 17% of HIV programme is PEPFAR funded. Impact on other country programmes with be even worse. This is an absolute disaster and an act of intense cruelty

Thoroughly depressing to see that the UK international aid budget is being cut to 0.3% of GDP, having relatively recently been reduced from 0.7 to 0.5, and increasingly being used to fund domestic rather than overseas activity. This will impact the world’s poorest and most vulnerable communities.

Unfortunately, clinical staging is not accurate to identify AHD: we need more investment in CD4 testing!
