A very informative and indeed rational article about the origins of COVID-19. It is long but worth the effort for the understanding it imparts about this virus which has not been dealt with sanely.

The origins of COVID-19 and the politics of the “lab-leak” myth: A discussion with science writer Philipp Markolin
The author of Lab Leak Fever has comprehensively exposed the baseless ultra-right campaign to blame COVID-19 on the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China.

Sadly, (really shamefully) my water district has stopped collecting viral data. This cannot help your project, nor can it help me and my friends and family. Your project provides vital information for all of us.
Thanks!

The Starbucks CEO missed out on the VIP seating chart for Trumps inauguration, will this enthusiastic embrace of forgoing public health get front row seating for some other important occasion?

I am late to watching Ètoile De Bessèges. Just now watching Stage 1 on Max with 40.2 km remaining. The marshes by the road side when the coverage commenced were beautiful.
You really add wonderful context to the race with your knowledge of geography and geology. Hi Magnus!

The Schumer Corollary: For every working class voter the Democratic Party sheds in Pennsylvania, it shreds another voter in each of the six other swing states.
Provide concrete material benefits for your constituents and win elections without lighting $1,000,000,000 on fire.

Mr. Johnson's mug and personal values will feature heavily in every Democratic campaign for every congressional seat.
So expect the Democrats to take the lead of the Constant War Caucus.
Also expect the next Congressional session to pass without codifying a woman's right to choose.
Same as always.

Took a run and on impulse stopped at the Comp Sci department at the University of Edinburgh to look up a professor.
The office secretary asks me, "What does this American want here?"
She had not heard my voice until I asked, "How did you know I am an American?"
She answered, "Your tan!"

The phrase, "take a walk in another's shoes" does not apply here. I've been caught short for how to process this ad.

Just a little water under the bridge, right?

My ex had an edit button; I was deleted.
An edit button is essential for kind, considered discourse.
Too, italics, bold, and block quote would make for a far nicer read.

Mars is the place for this cage fight. It will be on a 45 minute delay and there is less oxygen to suck.

Reminds me of the kill file I created for sanity on Usenet groups. comp.lang.lisp had some really awful humans. Placing them in the kill file saved me from their 'contributions' to threads.
I miss Usenet. Andrew Cuomo killed it in NYS. Of course, he was a paragon of virtue ...

I had two gay friends, one a lesbian, on my dorm floor back in the '70s.
They would double date and pair up appropriately later at some private party.
They actually enjoyed the subterfuge!
