An important read from my always brilliant supervisor Eyal Benvenisti.
Eminent law professor Eyal Benvenisti explains we may be reverting, at least for now, to an era of imperial rule. But history has demonstrated that international law has a long memory.

How can lawyers & historians preserve the rule of law?

Out Thursday: There’s prospects of a trial but has anything happened for alleged victims since the shocking allegations of war crimes by Australian SAS soldiers in Afghanistan came to light?

We examine what—if any—justice has been delivered for Afghan survivors.

Today in my "Law of Disasters and Emergency" seminar, students are drafting hazard and vulnerability assessments for their mock firms.

We'll build over the semester to a novel disaster that the class has to "lawyer" their way through.

When Sundhya Pahuja and her Melbourne PhDs visited LCIL two years ago I was struck by the caliber of their feedback. It turns out that "generous" feedback was taught and practiced in their group. Greeting work on its own terms & building it up must be of the finest skills a legal academic can learn.
