@bahn.de Frage zur Umlaufplanung, unter welcher Nummer verkehrt der ICE 77 morgen?

It’s a new day. I got two new ideas yesterday but need to finish my current projects first. How do you handle such situations?

Google changed the algorithm before Christmas. It looks like one of my projects is relatively dead right now...

I heard about IndexNow for the first time today. Has anyone here already worked with it?
It’s a tool from Bing (https://www.bing.com/indexnow) to push newly created content from your page.

I’m currently doing some (other) #buildinpublic with my daughter today.

I’ve now added a simple header image. I tried to keep it clean with a very light blue gradient. What do you think about it?

Thanks to the Bluesky Banner Generator @jimraptis.com.

What are your goals for 2025? Let’s share and connect!

I think some of my goals are easy to achieve, while others are not. But that’s a good thing - goals that are too easy to achieve are usually not ambitious enough.

I’m currently at the beginning of my #buildinpublic journey. To balance this progress on one side and a full-time job with family on the other, I need to define some goals to achieve this year.

To be clear: I’m not sure how many of them can be accomplished, but let’s try to check them all off 💪.

How did the #buildinpublic community manage the email setup? Did you buy a web hosting package with mail and configure the MX records for it?

I’m not sure what the easiest and least maintenance-intensive way is for multiple side projects.

I’m back online after a few days with the family. What new things did I miss from #buildinpublic?

Do you separate your SaaS and the landing page with a subdomain (e.g., app.) or do you put everything on the same domain level? When separating, do you also use separate projects/repos, like -www and -app?

I upgraded some dependencies at the beginning of December. It turns out the SEO module has a bug that added a lot of entries to the robots.txt. It took me some time to investigate the issue.

Got some new affiliate ideas over the Christmas holidays, but currently, my free time to build is very limited, and I’m focusing on the current image project.

I’ll add the ideas to the list.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a post scheduling software for Bluesky? I’m currently using Buffer, but it’s too much for my use case.

Next step: Laying the groundwork to create the MVP.
December 14, 2024 at 8:24 AM
And of course, the image project is maybe my first project where I didn’t buy the domain first.

After taking care of some family tasks, such as household finances, I'm now ready to start the new project.

December 13, 2024 at 8:24 AM
I'm already overthinking the image tool idea. I need to build a simple MVP, and after that, we can decide on the next steps.

Thinking about building a few simple online tools for basic image editing—mostly free and easy to use. But is it worth it in the age of AI, Photoshop AI, and Canva?
December 6, 2024 at 7:32 PM
I’m ready to start a new project in the next few days. However, for now, I don’t have any good ideas. Until the next idea comes, I’ll build some SEO pages to attract Google traffic.

There are 29 days left in #2024. Is anyone starting a new project in the final days of the year?
