Growing our population is an important measure of our success. Michigan grew by more than 57,000 people last year, and Oakland County led the state with more than 15,000…including gains in every community across the county!

Oakland University is leading the “brain gain” with 95% of graduates staying in the state, more than any other university in Michigan. I’m so proud of the work president Ora Pescovitz has done to make OU a powerhouse in our region. Go Grizzlies! 🐻

Over $3.7 million in federal funding for public health programs in Oakland County cut
The programs were dedicated to disease surveillance and infeciton prevention. Five employees were told not to report for work Wednesday.
