Dear bike nerds.
What do you call that silver piece? It has a vertical slot for the bike axle and I would like a more horizontal one to be able to adjust tension for single speed. I assume I could get one if it’s removable. @adalehunt.bsky.social ?

Seeing how Epstein was viewed as hub for discussing any manner of topic, a person of 'interest' to people who we thought we respected, I can't help but think of John Howard Yoder and the exploration of ethics beyond what the 'common' person can understand and handle. Anyone else getting that vibe?

Out for a walk and had the good fortune to run into a good friend walking to his transit route. We talked about increased enforcement denying transit to anyone without fare (apparently tasers are on the table for these officers).

I don’t read much in science but enjoy the occasional account of ‘method’ related to science. I read Kuhn and am reading Feyerabend. Is there anything in the last 10 or so years of similar consequence?
