Finding the constant narrative that a stopgap appointment is a short term necessity confusing. Wouldn’t appoint anyone in the summer that I couldn’t trust to take over now and push the team forward. And even in Everton’s predicament a functioning DOF should have a long list of suitable candidates.

Didn’t so much have to suspend disbelief for the end of season series of ‘The Diplomat’ as ban it sine die. Enjoyable bollocks overall though.
