We are horrified by the violent attack on a Manchester synagogue today and offer our condolences to the victims, their families, and the Jewish community. As social workers and trade unionists we stand in solidarity with the Jewish community in the struggle against antisemitism.

A positive meeting with SWE CEO to highlight SWU concerns about an increase, ensuring any increase provides value for money for social workers, and greater efficiency.

We expect these disability benefit cuts will likely lead to more deaths of claimants, increases in homelessness, child protection cases, and care admissions as disabled people can no longer afford to meet their needs at home.
