Well I am happy. Finally got options galore in attack. Would have loved a CB but I get the reasoning behind it given big chance we’ll be going back to back four in the summer. And I have no issue in putting trust in both Riad & Canvot. They are our future.

Well we wanted depth…we started the window with five options for three positions. We could be about to end it with NINE options for three positions (yes, that includes Mateta, albeit with an asterisk!)

Club will have to sign JSL regardless at this stage. You have to pretty much assume if JP’s move falls through today, he’ll go have the knee surgery immediately and I don’t think the club will be in any position to stop it. So we’d then be totally screwed.

Playing against ten men setting up in a low block requires two things;
1) Move the ball quickly. We didn’t do that at all.
2) Players that can carry the ball & beat a man. We don’t hand any.
Take the point & move on. And roll on the return of the Wharton & Kamada midfield partnership next week 🙏

Guessand is a really good move from the club. Clearly a player we wanted in summer. Hasn’t worked out at Villa but hopefully a player that will do well for us in a slightly different system/role. Excited to see him in a Palace shirt!

If we get £40m for JP and the majority of that is going to then be used on his replacement, surely there are better options than Strand Larsen? He’s scored one goal this season….ONE.

I’ll just say one thing. We lost 3-1 to a side that has spent an astronomical amount of money. It’s hardly a surprise we lost. We should be losing to Chelsea. Glasner has February for me to turn it round. Sacking him now with no one clearly identified to replace him hardly helps.

- owners stop caring when safe from relegation
- selling players without replacing them adequately in timing or quality
And this needs to change whoever comes next

So, yep. Oliver Glasner needs to go now for the good of the football club. I’ve accepted it. But I’m absolutely gutted it’s ended this way & Steve Parish & the rest of the owners have blood on their hands. They created this entire mess. They better fix it.

Been moving house today so haven’t seen the game but that’s an absolutely disgraceful result. Fair play to Macclesfield but f*ck me, this needs to be a wake up call for the entire football club. Nothing to do with squad depth today either. That’s no excuse.

Superb point that. Players worked their socks off. Showed real character. We made one sub all game .in the 90th minute. Roll on full weeks worth of rest & prep starting next week. Players returning + new additions = wins are coming.
