The Threshold Gamefound Campaign launches today!!

I'm incredibly excited about this game. I spent several months this past year writing content for it, including the world bible, main quest line, and side quests, events, and adventures in the first region.

My love for the first film is disproportionate to its modestly positive reviews. It's a CHEESY NORWEGIAN KAIJU COMEDY. It's perfect.

Hoping it's just the flu vaccine that's making me wobbly today.

Did you get yours?

Local man on TV news complains it took him 30 minutes to vote. Adorable.

Still sore that Danielle Smith and her crooked gang have raised the cost of a COVID booster from $0 to $155 on the way to privatizing a once-great healthcare system ... which we still pay for with our taxes.

Shameful to see crooks looking after crooks better than good folks look after each other.

For me, the answer is usually "any Shaw Brothers film that includes a tea house and a river," but what film's created set (not real location) would you love to live inside?

Strange Journey: The Story of Rocky Horror is a loving documentary by Richard O’Brian’s son Liam of the stage/screen/stage phenomenon that made a mild fan like me keen to secure a ticket to the next shadow-cast show that isn’t sold out.

Tonight’s movie/concert booty. I liked them all, but those who know me can guess my favorite and why.

Line friends made. Second-favorite seat secured. Three overpriced t-shirts purchased. Obscure band discussed. Beer in hand. Let’s roll this film.

For a few hours tonight I can try to forget the Apocalypse and enjoy Argento’s Suspiria with a live accompaniment by Claudio Simonetti’s Goblin, followed by a short concert.

15 minutes before A Chinese Ghost Story. Fewer than a dozen of us in the cinema. Disappointed in Edmonton nerds unless 100 of you come hopping in like a line of jiangshi pretty soon.

New restoration of A Chinese Ghost Story at the Metro tomorrow night. Come see the beautiful Joey Wang and the beautiful Leslie Cheung fight a horrible tree demon.

D(e)ad is an indy charmer about a woman whose father's ghost refuses to haunt her. The comic dialogue snaps. I saw it with an appreciative audience, and now I'm a fan of writer/star Isabella Roland.

It screens again at Metro Cinema on Thursday. Recommended.
