Great, great column, showing how both humor and gravity can combine to support a valid and persuasive opinion.
Sean McDermott and the Bills use the TushPush more than any team but Philly. Yet he wants it banned b/c he fears "serious injury" based on the posture it puts players in. My column agrees: www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2025/...
Column | The tush push is brutal and boring. Ban it before it’s too late.
The NFL needs to shove out the short-yardage play before fans fall asleep or something worse happens.

"The Genius of Coleman Hawkins" captures the Hawk's brilliance, from tender ballads like I’ll Never Be the Same to the fiery The World Is Waiting for the Sunrise. Backed by Oscar Peterson's quartet, Hawkins' tenor sax shines with unmatched eloquence and swing. A must for jazz fans.

any republican congressperson with a district on the US border with canada or mexico should be drilled about the tariffs. i know in new york at least (in elise stefanik’s district!!) the local economies of towns right on each side of the border are co-dependent. the tariffs would destroy them.

Absolutely right, and well said. Btw, Kevin, have any of the other NLU boys moved to Bluesky yet? If so, I’d like to track them down.
One of the often-unspoken elements of Twitter's exodus is that the trolls know deep down that they need us. They don't produce anything. They aren't funny, clever, interesting. They want to be able to shit on us, but still benefit from our presence. Without us, it's just a sad Nazi bar.

Well worth reading. Puts Canada’s dilemma with Trump in frightening context.
Donald Trump is a threat to Canada and more, and his tariff threat is a danger and a preview of what’s coming. And too many Canadian politicians are panicking, grovelling, and failing to be part of a unified front. It’s a roadmap on how Trump can pick us apart. www.thestar.com/politics/fed...
Bruce Arthur: Canada’s weak-kneed politicians are showing Donald Trump exactly how to exploit us
Too many Canadian politicians didn’t just accept Trump’s bark-at-the-waiter framing, but hopped to attention, ready to serve.
