When I strolled out to my mailbox tonight there was a little American flag in the gutter. How symbolic and appropriate for the time we are in.

I’ve been relatively optimistic for almost 70 years on this planet. Despite growing up during the civil rights movement and Vietnam war, a couple Iraq wars, 9/11, Afghanistan and now for the first time, I’m waking up and not feeling excited for “what comes next”. Not giving up but WTF?

Does anyone remember this “fair tax act” proposal? Well, it’s what we just got, but now it’s called “Tariffs” and instead of replacing the existing tax structure it’s an additional tax on Americans.

Six years ago while facing a cross country move and storage issues I sold this bike. It had been my father’s first motorcycle but I felt better sending it to a good home. This past week I bought it back. Looking forward to a light refresh and going for a ride.
