The IAS welcomes the bipartisan move in the US Senate to protect the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (#PEPFAR) from the proposed USD 400 million cuts in President Trump’s rescission package.

Dr Cissy Kityo highlighted the role of long-acting drugs for treating HIV in LMICs in this morning’s excellent plenary at #IAS2025, buoyed by yesterday’s announcement of the Viiv/MPP updated voluntary licensing agreement for CAB and updated WHO guidelines supporting CAB/RPV as a treatment option.
