I've had to step away for a while. I'm learning how to deal with life now that I know I'm not now nor have I ever been 'doing it on purpose'. Late diagnosis of AuDHD has been both a relief and a bit of a nightmare.

I know most people have been remembering Popeye Doyle in the French Connection, the Blind Hermit in Young Frankenstien and Royal in the Royal Tenenbaums but my favourite Gene Hackman moment will always be him escaping the world's media in full drag in The Birdcage.

Tonight I am attending an open mic where I will be reading some of my poetry. This is the first time in nearly 3 years I have felt capable of even going attending an event like this let alone reading. It's been along journey back including being disagnosed AuDHD and learning new coping skills.
