Walt Disney World Resort is expanding its pilot program for a luggage transfer service for guests flying Southwest Airlines at Orlando International Airport (MCO). Currently, the program allows guests at select Disney Resort Collection hotels to check their luggage at their hotel when flying out of MCO. An email that has been sent out to guests indicates that the program is being expanded to allow guests flying into Orlando to have their luggage delivered directly to their hotel.

A new holiday parade has arrived at Tokyo Disneyland. Called Toys Wondrous Christmas!, the parade will be running through December 25, 2025. This comes as Disney Christmas takes over Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea with plenty of merriment that ranges from festive decor to merry entertainment and beyond! In Toys Wondrous Christmas!, the toy factory of Santa Claus comes to Tokyo Disneyland.

The Walt Disney Company has extended its contract with its Chief Financial Officer, Hugh Johnston, to 2029. This comes as his previous contract was set to expire on January 31, 2026. Now, the expiration date is three years later. A filing showed the extension of this contract. It also revealed that while Johnston's base salary of $2 million remains the same, Disney raised his long-term equity award to $16.5 million from $14 million starting with fiscal year 2024.

This week, it was announced that ESPN and DraftKings Inc. entered into a new agreement. The agreement makes DraftKings the exclusive Official Sportsbook and Odds Provider of ESPN. This begins on December 1, 2025. The two companies say that this will deliver fans premium sports betting content and experiences. DraftKings will be exclusively integrated across ESPN's ecosystem starting in December 2025, with the complete rollout coming in 2026.

On this day in 1935, the 20th Century Fox release ‘Metropolitan’ debuted in theaters. The picture starred the world-renowned operatic baritone Lawrence Tibbett, who was a real-life principal singer in the New York Metropolitan Opera. He performed there over 600 times during his career. ‘Metropolitan’ was the first feature film that was produced under the 20th Century Fox name. It came after the merger of Twentieth Century Pictures and the Fox Film Corporation.

The Earl of Sandwich location that is currently found near World of Disney and the Esplanade at Downtown Disney District will soon be permanently closed. This comes after the closure of The Earl of Sandwich Tavern after operating hours yesterday. When the Earl of Sandwich closes today at this location, it will be for the last time. This comes ahead of the opening of a new location for the business on the west end of Downtown Disney District.

The Disney Destiny has just reached a milestone by arriving in Florida and will have a couple more with its upcoming christening and then maiden voyage this month. Ahead of its christening on November 10th and maiden voyage departing on November 20th, the theme song for the Disney Destiny has been released on music streaming services. This song almost has the feel of an 80s action movie, which fits quite nicely with the heroes and villains theme of this new ship.
