There is growing evidence that women have more pro-social behavior. Even beyond the objective of understanding gender inequality, there might be a lot to learn about how to promote social welfare!
Behavioral economic research on gender equality in the labor market tends to focus on agentic behaviors like competition or risk-taking. Like recent research on non-promotable tasks, our paper suggests that much can be learned by an increased focus on communal behaviors. 7/7
