UPDATE: We have data on >1000 terminated #NSF grants at grant-watch.us. Thanks to all who have been contributing data the past few days.

We've also added a "Reports" section with some analyses. For NSF, we see that the STEM education directorate has been absolutely pummeled.

...Not just hard, but with low enough funding rate + high enough uncertainty about timelines /scale, I think it's actually *impossible* to robustly end up with just the right amount of work you've obligated yourself to do. I kinda want to make this model and prove that there's no good strategy here.

We're excited to report that Neurophysin I (oxytocin's carrier protein) is an analytically robust surrogate biomarker for oxytocin in humans & it's easier to measure (no extraction + short EIA)! Work already underway to extend to other species.

What are people’s thoughts on semester long vs. year long sabbaticals? Is a year worth it, or is a semester + summer already good enough? In this specific case, a pay cut is involved for a year, but it would not delay the next sabbatical. Inquiring minds who are me want to know!
